English Georgian longcase clock. Mahogany veneered case of good proportions with 1/4 columns to sides of trunk door and "Tunbridge"-style crossbanding above. The swan neck hood has turned-brass-capped pillars and central ball and brass eagle above. Eight-day-duration movement, striking hours on a bell.

The hand-painted arch dial, featuring a "Shepherdess," has Arabic numerals, seconds, and calendar rings. Dial is inscribed with maker's name:

N. Davidson. Dunse.

Nean Davidson of Dunse (near Berwick–Scottish borders) is recorded working between 1798 and 1820.
