English Late Regency large wall clock of good proportions. Broken pediment hood with case restoration of dark green Japanning on oak. Eight day time only movement. Restored round painted dial inscribed with makers name:

Whitehurst & Son.

A renowned clockmaking family working in Derby who were, during the period this clock was made, invited to tender for the Big Ben Clock at Westminster.
